Background Info:

Shirley Montague wrote and recorded "Bronze Plateau" as part of her beautiful album Gros Morne: A Musical Journey (1999) that she co-produced with musician Eric West. The bronze plateau in the song refers to the Tablelands in Gros Morne National Park, an unusual geological feature near the town of Trout River. Originally from North West River, Labrador, Shirley has been a long time resident of western Newfoundland. She is a respected singer, song writer, and musician and has won numerous awards at both provincial, Atlantic, and national levels for her work. This version of the song was recorded during a live performance with Corner Brook musician Lou McDonald. Shirley’s album Gros Morne: A Musical Journey is available for purchase at Vinland Music.
